Jaimye Pool
"My best life experiences are centered around art. As a child, my instincts were to make prints, crayola on walls and draw in the dirt. I loved footprints and tracks in the dirt and loved making them." Graduating from West Texas A & M University with a B.S. in Art Education, Jaimye spent many years teaching in the Moore County Public Schools. She married Alan Pool and together they raised two daughters. Retirement from teaching has given Jaimye the time to paint...and paint....and paint. Her work has appeared in many area exhibits and The Art Center in Dumas. Her love of flowers has led to many beautiful works....many of the native wildflowers the Panhandle is blessed with and many set as a still life. She also loves landscapes, executing nearly all of work in oils. "Art is more than visual beauty.
For me, it is a celebration, and the best life has to offer. Every day,
life is fulfilling because of art. I'm content when either planning a
