Larry Whorton

My first grade teacher conveyed to my mother that my
favorite crayon was 'black' and therefore I would never have any artistic
talent. Perhaps my artistic endeavors since then have been a quest to
prove her wrong. I've always loved to draw and hounded my mother to take
me to the library to check out art books, so I could explore every book on
drawing and painting to learn from...a trend that continues to this day.
I took art in Junior and Senior High School and since that time have attended many seminars and workshops over the years working with still life, landscape, and portraits in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
